Tests have confirmed foot-and-mouth on a second farm in Egham, Surrey.

A precautionary cull of the animals at Stroude Farm had already taken place, Debbie Reynolds, the government's cheif vet has revealed.

The farm is close to the scene of the earlier outbreak, and is located 10 miles from the Pirbright research complex.

Reynolds confirmed foot-and-mouth was present at the farm and said it was the fourth infected premises since the start of the outbreak in August.

She added the government is now considering whether to allow movement to slaughter in England.
