Foot and mouth: Perthshire negative
Scottish authorities have ruled out foot-and-mouth on a farm in Perthshire.
Reports in Scotland claimed tests on a farm in Perthshire at the centre of a suspected case have come back negative.
A Scottish Government spokesman said: "Animal Health agency vets have now completed their investigations into the reported sickness of a sheep at an abattoir in England and its flock that originated from Perthshire. Examinations have eliminated foot and mouth.
"However, livestock keepers should remain vigilant and report any suspicions to their local Animal Health office."
