Highland Game is celebrating after gaining a listing in Morrisons for its diced venison and venison steaks.

The Scottish Wild Venison products have been introduced into 60 Morrisons' stores throughout the UK and follows on from the suppliers' recent success at the Scottish Food and Drink Awards 2006, where it won the Best New Product in Retail - Healthy Eating title.

The range features a specially created on-pack recipe by award-winning cookery writer Maxine Clark.

Highland Games' managing director, Christian Nissen, said: "Venison is a great healthy alternative to other red meats and it's great that it's possibilities are finally being recognised by companies such as Morrisons."

This is the third major contract the company has secured in as many months, following listings in Waitrose and Tesco.
