Catering operators and food manufacturers are being offered a taste of Italy by a leading cooked and frozen sausage supplier.

Snowbird Foods' Tuscan recipe sausage is one of a series created by development chefs in the past year and has proved a star performer in the company's super premium Gourmet Plus Chipolatas range.

With a meat content of 85%, the recipe excludes extenders like rusk or cereal.

"It took a lot of hard work to create a recipe this good, but the response from customers was so positive it made it all worthwhile," said Snowbird sales director Roy Anderson.
