Dunbia backs Welsh Winter Fair

 - Published:  08 December, 2008

One of the UK's leading UK meat processors has showed its support for farmers with sponsorship of the Welsh Winter Fair.

For the second year running, Dunbia, based in Llanbydder, west Wales, acted as a main sponsor of the popular agricultural show, which took place last week in Builth Wells, Wales.

Wyn Williams, group procurement manager, Dunbia, lamb, said: "Yet again the Winter Fair attracted record numbers of producers, their families and other visitors. The show provides an excellent platform for Dunbia to meet and talk to their primary producers in a relaxed atmosphere, and showcases to our producers Dunbia's commitment to the agricultural industry."

Dunbia recently embarked on some fundamental quantitative research with its primary producers, providing key information that will help develop future strategies and allow Dunbia to help sustain the livelihood of its producers.

All Dunbia producers who completed the questionnaire were automatically placed in a free prize draw to win a 4 Wheel Drive Honda Quad Bike, sponsored by Dunbia and Dalton's ATV. The winner was Mr Dion Davies, a Welsh lamb producer from Pontsian, Llandysul, Ceredigion, Wales.
