The CLA Game which was due to be held at Harewood House, near Leeds, from 27-29 September has been cancelled due to bad weather.
A statement on the cancellation decision was made by the Royal Agricultural Society of England.
"The decision taken by the organisers of the CLA Game Fair to cancel their major event must have been extremely difficult and distressing," said John Moverley, chief executive of the Royal Agricultural Society of England.
"The hearts of all involved here at our society go out to them and all involved. We also feel greatly for all those people who will be affected by this cancellation including businesses and those involved in the local economy of the area. I know that the team involved will have given 100% and more to make the fair happen but, just as with our case when we had to cancel the final day of the Royal Show, the health and safety of the public and all involved must be paramount. The extraordinary weather in recent times will have a long lasting effect and impact."
