LMC export development executive, Jelmer Hania, met the Irish Agricultural Minister, Mary Coughlan, at the SIA show in Paris last weekend.

A spokesman for the LMC said Coughlan and Jelmer discussed how LMC was representing the Northern Ireland Livestock/Genetics sector at the show and raising the Northern Ireland profile on the world stage.

Hania also explained that Northern Ireland cattle and sheep breeders were positive about the potential sales abroad, the spokesman added.

The SIA Agricultural show attracts visitors from many countries and a lot of interest has already been shown for Northern Ireland livestock and genetics from countries such as Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco.
