Celebration for foodservice trade fair

 - Published:  22 February, 2007

A Carlisle foodservice company is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its biennial food fair for the catering trade.

Pioneer, a family-run business, owns brands such as Lakeland beef, pork and lamb, and is hoping to attract as many customers as possible to this year's fair, which is being held on 25 and 26 February.

The last event in 2005, attracted more that 600 customers to the Shepherd's Inn function suite at Rosehill, Carlisle.

Pioneer's managing director, Graham Jenkins, said: "As well as inviting large, established manufacturers we try to introduce young, innovative companies as exhibitors at our trade fair.

"We aim to offer a more exclusive range than many of our national competitors and we try to reflect this through the food fair."
