New Events At EBLEX Conference

 - Published:  29 January, 2007

A raft of new information to help beef and sheep farmers will be unveiled at the English Beef and Lamb Executive's (EBLEX) first national producer conference in February.

Facts, figures, a brand new Beef Better Returns DVD and some hands-on sessions will be available for those at the conference which takes place at Askam Bryan college in York on 13 February.

Among the new events, producers will be able to get a detailed breakdown of export data, a preview of the new Beefy and Lamby advertisement, a chance to see the brand new cull cow live to dead DVD and the first public demonstration of the interactive beef snapshot farm costings.

Speakers will include Richard Phelps, managing director of Southern Counties Fresh Foods Ltd, Geoff Hall from Lloyds TSB business banking, MLC international manager Peter Hardwick and Matt Wyatt of Leo Burnett, London.

John Cross, EBLEX chairman, said: "We want to encourage farmers to take a closer look at topics such as exports, livestock selection, farm costings and brand development to see what impact these can have on the farm business."

The event is free to all English beef and sheep producers. Places will be taken on a first come, first served basis.
