Minister visit abattoir

 - Published:  09 January, 2008

Dunbia's Llanybydder site recently played host to Elin Jones, the newly appointed Welsh rural affairs minister.

Jones visited the plant to hold a meeting with Dunbia's senior management team as part of a fact finding tour in her new role.

The minister was given a briefing regarding Dunbia as a company and discussions were held regarding the impact of the export ban on the industry as a result of the outbreak of foot & mouth disease.

Part of the meeting was also spent looking at products and discussing lamb ranges supplied to retailers by Dunbia.
