Scotch club to scrutinise

The future of the Scottish beef industry will come under the microscope at the annual meeting of the McIntosh Donald/Tesco Producer Club in The Marcliffe at Pitfodels Hotel, Aberdeen, next Wednesday (November 7).

Taking part in the "Scotch Beef Debate" will be NFU Scotland president, Jim McLaren, Quality Meat Scotland chairman, Donald Biggar, and SAC beef specialist, Gavin Hill.

"We look forward to a large turn-out of members of our producer club for what should be an interesting discussion at this crucial time for the beef industry in Scotland," said McIntosh Donald procurement director, Eric Buchan.

The debate will be chaired by club chairman, Mike Martin, Garguston, Muir of Ord.
