Entry-level tray sealer for switch to automatic

 - Published:  28 March, 2008

Ulma Packaging has just launched the new Taurus 300 entry-level tray sealer. The model is suitable for ready meal producers and meat packers, who switch from manual to fully automatic packaging, and for use in smaller production environments, where space is at a premium.

The hygienically designed Taurus 300 can handle medium production runs and offers a maximum sealing area of

300mm x 400mm.

It features a removable infeed conveyor with rod bars, to centre and push the trays, and a pneumatic die lifting system for quick and easy changeover.

Derek Paterson, managing director of Ulma Packaging, said: "The launch of the Taurus 300 system is a testament to our ongoing commitment to packaging equipment innovation, and our reputation for

effective tray sealing solutions by any measure." Customers using the Ulma SMART 500 tray sealer can upgrade to the new Taurus 300 using the same tooling.
