Fortress puts safety first
A company that makes safety equipment for dangerous areas in factories has introduced a further safety function to one of its ranges.
Fortress Interlocks has introduced an emergency stop (E-stop) into its
eGard range of safety interlocks, which guard dangerous machinery by ensuring certain areas remain locked until machinery and blades have
stopped moving.
eGard is a modular system that simply clips together and provides a vast number of options including the addition of stop and start switches.
It is designed to fit straight on to a standard extruded aluminium machine frame without the need for additional brackets.
Fortress Interlocks claimed that their products are easy to install and therefore save their users money on wiring and installation.
The eGard is adaptable, with different modules and features, which can be added
and removed easily. It also has a corrision-resistant body.
