Showcase for pre-glued sleever

T Freemantle chose to splash out on a large prominent stand in Pro2Pacto showcase its best-selling pre-glued sleever.

Richard Kitchen, head of sales and marketing, said the company's record December

sales of £400,000 had influenced the decision to invest in a large stand. And it paid off, he said: "We thought it was very good and we enjoyed it. Although

it was very much a food-oriented exhibition, we made some

good contacts."

No sales were secured, but the company took the opportunity to promote their machinery to new international contacts.

"International sales are important," said Kitchen, "and

we did do particularly well

with our pre-glued sleever, which is a patented system, and

is actually the best-selling

ready-meal sleeving machine in the UK and we did do very well with that. It's the fastest pre-glued sleever on the market - we've sold getting on towards 60 in the UK."
