Tegra sorter is the key
Key Technology has launched Tegra sorters, which detect and remove foreign objects from products on conveyors.
A camera views the product from top and bottom, and Key Technology said processors can dramatically improve product quality and food safety, while minimising labour costs. Gentle handling ensures minimal product damage, and the high performance cameras analyse size and shape from both the visible and infrared spectrums. Cardboard, metal, plastic and glass are all removed.
Tegra's patented metal mesh C-Belt uses gravity and centrifugal force, not friction, to gently accelerate, stabilise and launch products into the inspection zone. Positive product positioning improves the accuracy of defect and foreign material removal.
