igus has developed a stainless steel version of its DryLin W linear guide, which it claims is maintenance-free and will not corrode in harsh environments.
The rails are made of high-grade steel and can withstand many different chemicals and stay resistant to temperatures up to 250°C. The system needs no lubrication and therefore does not require any maintenance during normal operation.
igus offers its new stainless steel guides as individual single rails with a diameter of 20 mm or as a double rail of 10 mm. DryLin W is a modular system of anodised aluminium, zinc diecast housings and plastic plain bearings. It is easily installed, says its maunfacturers, and there are a variety of versions to make best use of the available space.
