Food protection gets a boost
Testing equipment designed to protect the food industry from biological threats has been improved.
The Pathatrix Ultra, from Matrix MicroScience Ltd has been redesigned ergonomically with its five workstations now in a line.
The new slim design allows the instrument to be easily placed inside microbiological safety cabinets for work with bio-threat agents.
The samples require minimal handling by the operator, and the new diverter valves eliminate the need for disconnections during the washing and elution process, which means the ease of processing is considerably improved.
Dr Adrian Parton, chief executive officer of Matrix MicroScience, said: "We continue to strive to improve our products and we are delighted to launch the Pathatrix Ultra. The new design of instruments and consumables offers customers additional throughput and increased safety."
