Spectrum Inspection Systems Ltd, the holding company for Loma and Cintex, has appointed Andy Lowe as the UK's north west sales engineer.

He will be responsible for growth in the sales of the company's metal detection, checkweighing and X-ray inspection products. Lowe said he hopes to enhance the company's reputation as a provider of robust and reliable inspection equipment, which, he said, is built on the application of tried and tested technology.

With over 25 years experience in food and packaging sales Lowe has dealt with major companies and retailers throughout the UK and Europe, and has gained extensive knowledge, expertise and contacts in the global food industry.

Lowe said: "Both the Loma and Cintex brands offer customers quality products and service. Our established reputation of producing equipment that responds to the demands of today's market means we are well placed to provide the best that the inspection technology market has to offer. I look forward to the opportunity to build on the strength of the Loma and Cintex products, increasing Spectrum's established presence still further in the north west."
