Flood of entries
FOODEX MEATEX INDEPENDENTS' DAY
Entries are flooding in for the Independents Day Champion of Champions sausage competition, and pie and sausage evaluations, due to be held on the opening day of Foodex Meatex on 19 March. Entries across all events total 175 so far and are rising by the day.
The prestigious and popular Champion of Champions event has now been opened up to 2004 overall winners of recognised sausage events as well as 2005 winners.
Journal editor Fred A'Court said: "We're all looking forward to a fantastic day of competition and evaluation made extra special by the sausage and pie workshops being run by Allan Bennett and Keith Boxley."
Butchers wishing to enter the evaluations or the competition can find entry forms on the Meat Trades Journal website at www.mtj.co.uk.
