The Spitting Pig kits up

Hog roast equipment specialist Spitting Pig has made transporting complete hog/spit equipment even easier with the launch of a purpose-built trailer.

The trailer means newcomers don't even need a van to take part in this lucrative activity.

It also offers a more convenient option for existing roasters and the complete kit and trailer can easily be hooked up to a small car.

Stephen Marsden, managing director, said: "It is light enough to be manoeuvred by one person and towed by even a small car. More and more butchers, licensees and caterers are discovering the potential of spit and hog roasting and we have now made it more accessible than ever."

The trailer is available alone at £1,350 plus VAT or with a full start-up kit, including a Titan roaster and gazebo for £4,250 plus VAT.

Its launch comes only a few months after Spitting Pig unveiled the Apollo as the lowest-priced ever gas roaster.

Spitting Pig offers four roaster systems, the Apollo, Titan, Zeus and Thor, all British-made, plus a complete range of accessories.

All come with a step-by-step 'how-to' CD and the option of finance to spread the investment. Many accessories are also available for roasting joints, poultry and much more.
