Farming co-op goes online
Mole Valley Farmers, the UK's largest farming co-operative, has launched an online shop.
A group of farmers from around South Molton started the co-operative 47 years ago. Nearly five decades later Mole Valley Farmers is still farmer owned, with a board of directors who are active farmers. Now Mole Valley Farmers has launched its new online shop to provide members and customers with the option of purchasing online.
The new online shop has over 10,000 products available, from dairy equipment and electric fencing to animal husbandry products, clothing and footwear, pet and equine goods, garden, vehicle, workshop tools and domestic products.
Goods can be brought straight to the farm on a next day express delivery, or within three to five working days with the standard delivery. A spend of over £150 qualifies for free standard delivery excluding heavy or hazardous products.
Stephen Ford, head of retail product management and marketing for Mole Valley Farmers said: "We recognise that farmers don't always have time to come into one of our branches and some live in areas where there isn't a MVF branch nearby, so an online purchasing site enables farmers to have a their own virtual shop on their farm."
