Founder's son becomes Scotch Pie champion

 - Published:  09 January, 2007

Butcher and baker RT Stuart of Buckhaven in Fife has won the 2006 World Scotch Pie Championship.

Keith, son of Alan Stuart, the founder of the World Scotch Pie Championship, won the contest with a minced lamb in a pastry shell with secret seasonings.

He is the sixth generation of his family to be in the business. RT Stuart has three butchers' shops and 16 bakers' shops. Butchers punched above their weight in the competition, despite being outnumbered by bakers by two-to-one.
