Butchers dare to bare all

 - Published:  01 January, 2007

Wiltshire butchers recently bared all for the sake of charity. Andrews Quality Meats in Highworth is one of 12 local everyday businesses featuring on a calendar, which will raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Andrew Sears, partner of Andrews Quality Meats, said that Phil Poulton, who runs a Swindon advertising website, had come up with the idea for the high street traders to get together to promote their town and charity in this way. "We have already sold 150 calendars at £10 each. We saw it as a good idea and the staff didn't need much persuading to strip off," he told MTJ.

"The photographer arrived at a 8.00am on a Friday morning when customers were arriving. Fortunately it moved from 9.00am, when it would have been much busier."
