The twelve days of Christmas is the theme of the Hybu Cig Cymru - Meat promotion Wales' (HCC) new Christmas season recipe book full of Welsh Beef and Welsh Lamb recipes to tantalise the taste buds over the holiday period with a recipe a day.

The recipe book includes a range of classical and contemporary meals and is now available in retail shops across Wales.

The range of recipes start with the Christmas Eve suggestion of Sirloin Steak with Wine and Stilton Sauce, celebrating the big day with Roast Rib of Beef with Cranberries and Port or Bones and Rolled Leg of Lamb with Fig, Orange and Cinnamon Stuffing, ringing in the New Year with Beef Rib Eye Steaks with Olive and Garlic Mushrooms.

HCC has also developed a range of party bites and snacks for the days in between, where a lighter snack is needed including Welsh Beef or Welsh Lamb-topped Welsh cakes and Christmas Kebabs.

Aberystwyth butcher Rob Rattray commented: "Customers are always eager to take the recipes from our counter. We always get lots of positive feedback on them
