Butcher fined over short measures
A halal butcher has been found guilty by Croydon magistrates of providing false details and selling short measures to customers.
Hewa Hassan Margaye, of the Halal Meat Centre in London Road, Croydon, received a fine of £500 for failing to provide the business name and address at Croydon Magistrates. He also received a fine of £150 for misleading price information and £500 in costs.
Margaye was also charged with failing to provide information and giving false information.
