SAMW competition invite
BUTCHERS IN Scotland have until 8 May to submit their product ideas for the Scottish Federation of Meat Traders Association's annual Sausage and Pudding competition.
Regional competitions will be held throughout May in the North, South East, West, East and South West of Scotland. Each regional winner will go on to the national ?nal, which takes place at the Scottish Meat Challenge at Lauder College, Dunfermline on 20 September.
Entries are limited to one per shop in both the Traditional Beef Sausage and Black Pudding categories. In the Speciality Sausage category, up to ?ve products can be entered.
Each entry must made on the premises by the retailer or his staff in Scotland. Entries will be judged by a panel of specialists in each category.
Entry forms should be submitted to the SFMFT along with an entry fee of £12 per product.
