New date for Welsh debate
The Food Standards Agency Wales has announced a new date for its Meat Hygiene Service charging debate.
The meeting, which will discuss revised charging proposals for controls in meat premises, was initially scheduled to take place earlier this month, but was cancelled due to adverse weather conditions. It will now take place on Wednesday 18 March 2009, at the Peterstone Court Hotel in Brecon.
The event will be attended by Tim Smith, the Agency's chief executive, as well as key industry representatives. The debate, which will be similar to the one held by Meat Trades Journal in Warwick earlier this month and the one due to take place in Scotland on 6 March, will form part of the FSA's consultation process on meat inspection charging.
