EBLEX to hit the road
Beef and lamb body EBLEX has announced a series of workshop roadshows to help producers capitalise on market opportunities in the year ahead.
The Market Outlook Roadshow kicks off on 10 February in Boroughbridge, Yorkshire and ends at Colchester Town Hall on 26 February.
It will consist of eight dedicated workshops providing farmers with an overview of current market conditions and exploring how issues such as consumer purchasing patterns will impact on the industry in the future.
EBLEX industry development manager Chris Lloyd said: "Against a background of increased exports and changing consumption patterns, this new roadshow will help producers meet the current challenges facing the industry and the wider economy, but take full advantage of the numerous opportunities which come from careful strategic planning."
Each workshop will be followed by a session on livestock selection and breeding to help producers get the best from their stock, along with a virtual demonstration for attendees to aid beef and lamb selection.
Each free, practical workshop starts at 7pm, is open to all EBLEX levy payers and is being funded by EBLEX's Better Returns Programme.
Other locations include Clitheroe, Bishop Auckland, Hereford, Tarporley, Bakewell and South Molton.
Producers wishing to attend should contact Hellen Tordoff on 0870 609 1840.
