Butcher voted tops in Wales

 - Published:  09 February, 2009

A butcher's shop on Anglesey has been voted the best traditional outlet in Wales.

Lamia, run by ET Jones Sons & Daughter, Bodedern, won the Daily Telegraph traditional business category in this year's Countryside Alliance Awards for Wales.

Collecting the award at the Senedd, Cardiff, was Ifan Jones, who will represent the business at the UK finals at the House of Lords in March. His sister Elen Owen said: "We are delighted, especially as we were nominated by our customers."

In 2007, Lamia won Meat Trades Journal's Welsh Butcher's Shop of the Year award.
