Man killed in cold store tragedy
A man has died from severe head injuries following an accident at a Irish chicken processing plant.
According to reports in the local press, a young Polish worker - named as Tomasz Klodnicki - was killed when a rack of frozen chickens fell on top of him at the Cappoquin Poultry chicken processing plant in Co Waterford, Replublic of Ireland, last week.
Two workers found his body in the cold storage room of the plant and alerted the fire service and gardai, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Health & Safety Authority (HSA) is investigating the cause of the accident and Klodnicki's body has been brought to hospital for a post-mortem examination.
