Vikan goes purple with latest colour-coded tool range

 - Published:  03 February, 2012

Cleaning solutions company Vikan has launched a range of purple tools for the food and drink industry.
This is the eighth colour added to Vikan’s offer, and the firm believes the colour-coded range can provide a practical and effective solution to minimise cross-contamination
between different production areas in
a plant.

The purple tools are designed for production zones where organic or allergenic ingredients are being used. They include autoclavable squeegees, brushes and shovels and are made
from FDA-approved materials.
The seven other colours in the range are red, blue, green, yellow, orange, white and black.
“Visual colour-coding ensures operatives use the correct equipment for each area, as well as motivating hygienic behaviour and hence cleaner facilities,” Vikan said.
