Firms increase joint activity

 - Published:  28 November, 2011

TruNet Packaging Services and the Danish international food industry supplier DAT-Schaub have increased their joint activities in the UK and Ireland.

In an agreement signed on 31 October 2011, DAT-Schaub acquired 50% of the shareholding in TruNet Packaging Services, which is based in Measham, Derbyshire.

TruNet managing director Stuart Revill said: “Clients expect a broad product range and full service from their suppliers and will concentrate their purchasing on those suppliers who are willing and able to take complete responsibility for the entire supply chain. This move will enable both TruNet Packaging Services and DAT-Schaub to successfully manage this trend.”

DAT-Schaub CEO Jan Roelsgaard addded: “The most powerful advantages of this arrangement are savings and market strength; the new company will have the broadest product range in the meat segment.”
