Corrie star backs game promotion
Former Coronation Street star Charlie Lawson will be lending his support to a game meat promotion this December.
Lawson, who played Jim McDonald in the soap, will be supporting the British Association of Shooting Conservation’s (BASC) Taste of Game Season with a free tasting at his farm shop in Prestbury Village, Cheshire.
People are invited to visit the shop on 3 December between 10am and 2pm to try a taste of game and do some Christmas shopping. Barbecued game will be available.
The BASC’s Jean Pugh said: “There is no mystery to cooking game, it’s as simple as any other meat. Come along and join us and we will show you how. Game is a wonderful and tasty low-fat food.”
