QMS praised for cooking app

Quality Meat Scotland’s (QMS) ‘Perfect Steaks and Roasts’ phone application has been awarded a top marketing accolade. Judged at the Scottish Creative Awards, the app features instructions, recipes and tips on how to cook Scotch Beef and Lamb and Specially Selected Pork.

Since its launch at the Royal Highland Show in June, the app has been downloaded almost 5,000 times. It is available on iPhone and Android.

QMS marketing controller Suzie Carlaw said: “ The app is primarily aimed at reaching the younger generation, which relies more and more on modern technology but isn’t overly confident cooking from scratch.

“What we are aiming to do is bring tradition and innovation together so the latest technology can help consumers get the best from our traditionally produced beef,lamb and pork.”
