Chesham sausage "very successful"
The newly created Chesham sausage has been a success, according to its creator, butcher Gerry Martin.
“We have been selling it to restaurants and pubs and it’s been very successful,” he said.
Gerry, the owner of Martin’s Butchers shop on Chesham’s High Street, was approached by local association Better Chesham a few weeks ago to create a speciality sausage meant to generate more footfall in the town centre. “They put the idea into my head that I could do it,” he added. “We use special ingredients and seasoning to make it unique.”
Better Chesham works with local retailers to boost interest in the area, and is considering creating other specialities following the success of the Chesham sausage.
