Countdown to Butchers Fair Autumn

The fair will play host to exhibitors covering all aspects of butchery, from the latest marinade and ingredients products to new technology and equipment. Just a few of the exhibitors confirmed so far are Dalziel, Scobies Direct, MRC, William Jones Packaging and Eblex.

Live events will include Meat Trade Journal’s annual sausage competition, Champion of Champions, with award winning sausages from around the UK judged against each other to find the ultimate sausage. MTJ is also launching its National Pie Making competition at the fair. Both competitions will be judged live and winners trophies will be presented by actress and former ‘Allo ‘Allo star Vicki Michelle.

As with the Spring event, Butchers’ Fair Autumn will be sited alongside the long-established Bakers’ Fair, giving butchers who make or sell any bread or pastry-based products the opportunity to look in for free. The event will also see the return of the butchers vs bakers event, which will take a  Generation Game theme, with two butchers trying their hands at cake-making and two bakers try to get to grips with sausage-making.

Online and telephone registration for the event has now closed but butchers who want to come along can print off the registration form from www.butchersfair.co.uk and bring it along on the day.
