Poultry farm blaze
Fire investigators are still searching for the cause of a blaze at a Mid-Wales poultry farm.
The fire broke out at a 350ft-long building at Cottage Farm, Evenjobb, near Presteigne.
According to the fire-service, the fire started in the roof area. However, it was brought under control before it affected the 19,000 chickens housed in the unit.
A Mid-Wales fire officer commented: "Remarkably, no birds were injured or killed in the fire and this is a credit to the team."
