Whole chickens all wrapped up by Ilapak
Ilapak has launched an upgraded version of its Delta LD flow-wrapper, specifically designed to meet the packaging requirements and tough hygienic standards of the poultry processing sector.
The new flow-wrapping machine has been designed specifically for poultry industry applications in particular chicken pieces and whole birds.
Ilapak's new Delta LD system improves packaging line efficiency, reduces packaging costs, enhances pack presentation and minimises leak rates, said the company. It is particularly suitable for Cryovac's BDF and SES films.
The new Delta LD for poultry is said to one of the first on the market to offer the capability to flow-wrap whole birds with and without a tray, allowing producers to achieve significant cost savings by removing the traditional supporting tray altogether.
