Steve Turton proves to be a master

Experienced master butcher Steve Turton joined restaurateur and MasterChef presenter John Torode to celebrate the supply of West Country meat from Turtons Of Devon to The LUXE (Spitalfields) as the restaurant celebrated its first anniversary last month.

The LUXE, John Torode's most recently opened restaurant, held a special event in October to mark its first anniversary, at which Turtons Of Devon meat was served.

The east London restaurant, once the site of the famous fruit and vegetable market, Old Spitalfields, has eateries on four floors, which, since the restaurant's opening last year, has served Turtons of Devon beef and chicken. The butcher supplies over 250kg of fresh West Country beef and chicken to The LUXE every week.

Steve said: "The LUXE and Smith's Of Smithfield are important contracts for us. We are immensely proud that our West Country premium beef is being served in both highly regarded restaurants."

Supplying John Torode's restaurants has been a catalyst for the firm to develop its London customer base and it now delivers to outlets across London twice a week.
