Firms combine for open day

The day will feature trade stands from many leading suppliers, as well as refreshments including a hog roast, and entry to the free draw for the chance to win an Avery Berkel Futura slicer.

Weald Packaging has recently celebrated 25 years in business, and was joined at Buxted in East Sussex last year by South Coast Systems, which began trading 15 years ago

Managing directors Tony Willmott and Paul Cox will be inviting new and existing customers to view their range of products and to meet with suppliers, who will be exhibiting on the day.

Weald Packaging supplies packaging, ingredients, and consumables to the meat industry, while South Coast Systems supplies scales, food machinery and equipment, and consumables to the independent retailer.

Exhibitors on the day will include Avery Berkel, which will be showing a complete selection of scales, from the top-of-the-range M series to the newly introduced budget FX50, as well as slicers and other food machinery.

Other companies showing include: Mainca UK, a supplier of quality food processing equipment to the butchery, bakery, and catering trades; A-Cold, a distributor of display refrigeration and shopfitting products from Sifa Italy; Enterpack, a supplier of a range of heat-sealing machines, food trays, and film; Dalebrook, with its butchers' counter display equipment; Burton McCall, which will be selling butchers' knives; Norman Pendred, with Pentic ticketing systems; and Jardox Perfecta, which has recently introduced a new range of additive-free glazes.
