Chefs Demetre, Todiwala in Welsh lamb promotion
Anthony Demetre, Francesco Mazzei and Cyrus Todiwala are among the chefs cooking dishes to promote Welsh Lamb at The Butcher in Leadenhall Market.
Every Wednesday from 8 September to 13 October chefs from London’s top restaurants - including Galvin at Windows, Arbutus, and L’Anima - will serve Welsh Lamb dishes for the public to sample free of charge.
The chefs will use British, Indian, Italian, French, Mediterranean and Moroccan style ingredients to demonstrate the versatility of Welsh Lamb, with dishes prepared on The Butcher's grill. Each chef will also be around at lunchtime to give tips on how to recreate the recipes at home.
City workers and visitors will also be able to chat with 28-year-old Welsh farmer Myrddin Davies on September 8 at The Butcher.
The dates for each chef are the following:
- Andre Garrett (Galvin at Windows): Wednesday 8 September
- Joe Gray (Kenza): Wednesday 15 September
- Sophie Wright (Food writer – Easy Peasy): Wednesday 22 September
- Anthony Demetre (Arbutus, Wild Honey and Les Deux Salons): Wednesday 29 September
- Francesco Mazzei (L'Anima): Wednesday 06 October
- Cyrus Todiwala (Cafe Spice Namaste): Wednesday 13 October
