European Metal Packaging launch scorecard

European Metal Packaging, an association representing European producers of rigid metal packaging, has introduced an interactive scorecard, designed to track its members' products' carbon footprint. The scorecard provides estimates of CO2 equivalent levels for different metal cans with different recycling rates, weights and transport distances. The scorecard tracks carbon emissions throughout the entire production process of a can, while the interactive tool allows for measurements of carbon data from transport, recycling and lightweighting processes.
