Heston signs up to Q Guild Awards

The Q Guild Butchers’ were celebrating after signing up top chef Heston Blumenthal to present the prizes at its prestigious Smithfield Awards later this year.

Smithfield Awards are presented to the winning products following rigorous judging, which takes place over two days in October in Glasgow.

The awards ceremony and celebration lunch will take place on Tuesday 9 November at Butchers’ Hall in London.

Q Guild chairman Philip Cranston said: “We are absolutely delighted that Heston Blumenthal will be presenting this year’s Smithfield Awards.
