Endoline Machinery seals the deal

 - Published:  06 August, 2010

Endoline Machinery has just completed its biggest ever project, in a million-pound deal with Tulip.

The Bedfordshire-based company has project-managed the build and installation of 12 packaging lines in Tulip's Bromborough sausage factory. The 12 lines have been specifically modified to meet the requirements of Tulip. Key to their design was that they were efficient in dealing with raw meat, so stainless steel was used in the construction of the machines for ease of wipe-down.

Nine of the lines are fully automatic, consisting of an Endoline 221 case erector featuring the unique dual opposing vacuum case opening and an Endoline 625 case sealer, a semi-automatic pre-set machine that seals cases. Due to lower production volumes on the remaining lines, they were made up of an Endoline hand-packing station and an Endoline 625 case sealer.
