Ishida son takes reins from father

 - Published:  25 June, 2010

Takahide Ishida has taken over the presidency of weighing and packing company Ishida from his father, Ryuichi. Takahide, 40, joined Ishida in 2007 and has been vice-president since 2008. His father will remain at the company as chairman.

Takahide said: "The changes in the company and the business environment that took place during my father's presidency have been enormous. The pace of change is not likely to slow in the coming years, and we are looking forward to many interesting and exciting developments. However, I am confident that our overall business ethos will remain constant, and will stand us in good stead."
