Midlands firms set recruitment challenge
Gloucester paper The Citizen is challenging local businesses to recruit 100 new apprentices in 100 days. Businesses of all types have to recruit a new employee, as long as they are based in Gloucestershire, to meet the '100inONEHUNDRED' campaign target.
One of the first local firms to take part is Andy Creese Butchers, a family concern that has been based in Newent for over 20 years. According to Creese: "Apprenticeships offer a fantastic opportunity to get youngsters into the workplace, supported by structured, vocational training."
The campaign is being run with the support of Gloucestershire College and the National Apprenticeship Service and Gloucestershire First. Anyone interested in applying for the vacant position at Andy Creese Butchers should contact Creese on: 01531 820209.
