Ergolastec launches anti-bacteria butcher mat at Foodex
Rubber compound firm Ergolastec has launched a series of work mats aimed at butchers shops and food processors.
The 'Clean' mats come in three finishes to deal with dry, damp and wet conditions respectively, and are made of biocidal rubber to prevent bacteria and fungal formation.
Chris Rook, managing director of the UK's largest independent butcher, JC Rook, said: "We have laid the mats behind the counters and we are delighted with them. The surface is really secure, and is soft and comfortable for staff to stand on. The anti-bacterial formulation is a real bonus."
Ergolastec is showing its new range of mats at stand VO42 at Foodex at the NEC in Birmingham this week.
Kraiburg Ergolastec is a division of Kitt, based in Bridgwater, Somerset.
