Ginger Pig in talks to open fifth London venue

 - Published:  12 March, 2010

London butcher chain the Ginger Pig is to open a fifth site in London.

The location is yet to be revealed – according spokesperson for the butchers chain: “We’re in talks to open another place, but nothing has been confirmed yet.”

The butchers launched its training website on 10 March, 'learnbutchery', and began promoting itself on the Twitter site a few days prior to that.

Despite rumours the company has “absolutely no plans” to open a branch in Kemp Town, Brighton, a spokesperson insisted.

Other Ginger Pig stores are in Marylebone, Hackney and at Borough Market. The company also recently opened a branch at Greensmiths, the mini-supermarket in Waterloo.

The butchers chain was temporarily part of The Commander restaurant and deli on Hereford Road, but ended the association.
