Countdown to National Butchers' Week
Just seven days to go until National Butchers’ Week, and butchers up and down the country are gearing up to make the most of the week.
Ipswich based butcher George Debman will be warming up prior to the week with a series of sausage making sessions with local schools on Wednesday and Thursday before promoting the butchery trade as guest speaker at the Mayor’s Charity Dinner at Christchurch Mansion.
Meanwhile, the award winning Pearsons of Ingleton has teamed up with its local watering hole, The Wheatsheaf Inn, to celebrate National Butchers week. It is offering customers who spend £20 or over at the butcher, a £5.00 meal voucher to spend at The Wheatsheaf pub.
Ian Danskin of Pearsons of Ingleton said: “We supply our locally soured meats and award winning sausages & black pudding to the Wheatsheaf pub, so what better way of saying thank you to our customers and celebrate National Butchers’ Week, than to give them a discount voucher for a local pub.”
And don't forget to order your National Butchers' Week apron to complete the look for this year's event. Priced at £12.50, the aprons are the perfect way to show your shop is backing the week. To order, contact Rachael Cannon on 01293 610433, or email her on rachael.cannon@william-reed.co.uk.
