Game fortnight brings in Michelin-starred chef

 - Published:  19 February, 2010

The British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) will involve Michelin-starred Mike Robinson in a game tasting at Borough Market, London, as part of its National Taste of Game promotion.

Harwood is an owner of the Harwood Arms pub in London, awarded a star last month by the Michelin restaurant and hotel guide book.

Formerly a week, the event will extend to a fortnight in length this year, between November 6 and 20. The period is part of BASC’s ‘Game On’ initiative to highlight the nutritional and environmental benefits of eating game.

Simon Hamlyn, BASC’s Director of Operations, said: “Due to popular demand, we are delighted to be able to extend our National Taste of Game event this year.

“Last year there were more than 100 activities during the course of the week to promote game and many more are planned for this year."
